SDGA made a courtesy visit to the Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman), YB Datuk Haji Talib Zulpilip at his office yesterday morning.

The delegation was led by SDGA President, Mr Gary Ningkan and consisted of Deputy-President, Dr. Jawing Chunggat, Vice Presidents, DR. Florianna Lendai and Mr. Haider Kowel Bete as well as other fellow ExCo Members. Also present during the briefing were all the officers from the Integrity & Ombudsman Unit.

Purpose of the visit was to introduce SDGA’s new exco to YB Datuk and to brief him on the Association’s new directions and future program/activities. The visit also presented the opportunity for both SDGA and the Intergrity & Ombudsman Unit to discuss on how they can work together in future.

One of the main topics touched on during the visit was on issues pertaining to the employability of fresh graduates and the employment process of the civil service particularly on the publicservice committee and pre-requisites for entry level positions and promotions.

The session ended with the YB Datuk giving words of encouragement to SDGA and pledging his support to the Association’s cause be it through engagement programmes or financial assistance.
