A one day workshop on the Dayak Input on the 11th Malaysia Plan (2016 – 2020) was organised by Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) on 22 March 2015 at Penview Hotel, Kuching. The workshop was officiated by YB Tan Sri Dr. James Jemut Masing, Senior Minister and Minister of Land Development. The workshop were attended by participants from across the political divides working hand in hand with Dayak intellectuals and members of the various Dayak NGOs.
The workshop mission was to address the following eight core areas:-
- Memperkukuh pembangunan inklusif
- Menuju ke-arah pembangunan hijau
- Meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat
- Memperkasa asas pertumbuhan
- Memanfaat bakat
- Merekayasa pertumbuhan ekonomi
- Merakyaatkan perkhidmatan awam dan memperkukuh tadbir urus
- Malaysia melangkaui 2020
Participants were divided into eight groups based on the above eight core areas. Each group was to be led by a moderator to be appointed among members of the group. Each of the group was required to present their discussion output for the plenary session.
The total sum output of the all the group were presented to the government as Dayak input for the 11th Malaysia Plan (2016-2020) and beyond.
