Dear all,

There will be a 2nd Webinar organized by SIDS & SDGA Women entitled “Empowering Dayak Women Through Education” in conjunction with Hari Wanita 2020.

Date : 28 August 2020 (Friday)
Time : 8.00 pm

  2. Dr. Poline Bala- Director of Ins. Borneo Studies
  3. Dr. Sarah Samson- FCSIT, Unimas
  4. Dr. Sharon Keripin – Rehab Medicine Physician

Together with four successful Dayak women we will explore how to best understand the needs of Dayak Women to advance their position in society, be it on local or international scale. Without education, Dayak women may struggle to find meaningful, well-paid jobs, and be under-represented across many industries. In this coming webinar session, we will discuss how education empowers, make changes, fight bias, and find focus on women in a Digital era. The Dayak community in Sarawak can move forward together as a community, to push for better status in society, well-being, and to be better socioe-conomically.

The session will be moderated by SDGA Vice President, Dr. Florianna Michael and the technical team will be led by fellow exco member, Ms. Alexandra John.
