Venue: Earthwork Project Site Visit

Participants from the Skills Solutions Academy (SSA) Kuching batch recently stepped out of the classroom and onto an active construction site as part of their Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency Course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in real working environments.

The practical site visit allowed participants to observe actual site conditions, sharpen their hazard identification skills and strengthen their ability to assess risks in real time. The session formed a key component of the 10-day programme, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application and preparing participants to carry out their responsibilities as competent Site Safety Supervisors.

Through direct engagement with the worksite, participants gained increased confidence and practical insight into ensuring safer and more compliant construction operations.

Co-organised by the Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) and Skills Solutions Academy (SSA), the initiative reflects SDGA’s continued commitment to empowering graduates to become certified professionals capable of thriving in their respective industries.

SDGA looks forward to rolling out more capacity-building programmes as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen skills development and career readiness among graduates.
