Strengthening Ties with Leave A Nest Malaysia

Monday, 19 May 2025

Venue: Invent Space, Kuching

Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) had the privilege of meeting with representatives from Leave A Nest Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. at Invent Space, Kuching on the 19th of May 2025.

Leave A Nest Malaysia, based in Cyberjaya and part of Japan’s Leave A Nest Co., Ltd., focuses on bringing science and technology closer to people and creating real-world impact. Their mission is to bridge academia, industry, and government to advance science and technology for global happiness.

The meeting highlighted two exciting programmes that could benefit SDGA members:

  1. Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Training (SCENT)
SCENT is a six-month programme designed to nurture entrepreneurial thinking and practical skills. Participants learn everything from mindset development and problem-solving to research planning, business development, and pitching.
  1. Deep Tech Tour (DTT)
DTT is all about exploring emerging technologies and building cross-border connections. For example, the 2024 Indonesian tour gave participants a closer look at the country’s tech scene and connected Malaysian delegates with Indonesian innovators.

Both programmes have great potential to empower Dayak graduates and young professionals. Further discussions are already in the pipeline to explore how these programmes can be tailored to suit SDGA members’ needs. Leave A Nest Malaysia also expressed interest in formalising this collaboration through an MoU in the near future.

We are excited about the possibilities ahead and look forward to working together to create more opportunities for our community.
